MUSIK COUNTRY

Musik country adalah campuran dari sejumlah unsur musik Amerika yang berasal dari Amerika Serikat Bagian Selatan dan Pegunungan Appalachia. Musik ini berakar dari lagu rakyat Amerika Utara, musik kelt, musik gospel, dan berkembang sejak tahun 1920-an. Istilah musik country mulai dipakai sekitar tahun 1940-an untuk menggantikan istilah musik hillbilly yang berkesan merendahkan. Pada tahun 1970-an, istilah musik country telah menjadi istilah populer. Istilah lain untuk genre musik ini adalah country and western, namun sudah semakin jarang dipakai kecuali di Britania Raya dan Irlandia. Karier Elvis Presley berawal dari musik berirama country sebelum menjadi raja rock and roll. Salah satu julukan baginya adalah The Hillbilly Cat. Elvis juga pernah menjadi bintang tamu tetap di acara radio milik Louisiana Hayride Salah seorang penyanyi country, Garth Brooks tercatat sebagai artis solo terlaku dalam sejarah industri rekaman AS. Ia telah menjual lebih dari 200 juta rekaman. Taylor Swift adalah musisi country yang paling dikenal di Dunia & Indonesia saat ini.

ACRASSICAUDA : Iraqi Thrash Metal Band

Acrassicauda

Acrassicauda is an Iraqi thrash metal band formed in 2001. It is often credited as being the first heavy metal group to emerge from Iraq. The band consists of three Arab members and one Assyrian (Tony Aziz Yaqoo). The band formed and played concerts under the regime of Saddam Hussein. It became well known outside of the local Iraqi metal scene after Vice magazine did a profile of the band. It received even greater coverage when it was profiled in a feature-length documentary about the band and its troubles in Iraq called Heavy Metal in Baghdad. The band's first album was released on March 9, 2010.

Dioniso Aguado

Dionisio Aguado (8 April 1784 – 29 December 1849) was a Spanish classical guitarist and composer.

 

Born in Madrid, he studied with Miguel García. In 1826, Aguado visited Paris, where he met and became friends with and for a while lived with Fernando Sor. Sor's duo Les Deux Amis ("The Two Friends") commemorated the friendship: one part is marked "Sor" and the other "Aguado".

Orphaned Land

Orphaned Land is an Israeli progressive metal band, formed in 1991, that combines Death/doom, Jewish and Arabic influences.

In 1992, the band changed its name from the original Resurrection to Orphaned Land. Orphaned Land fuse progressive, doom, and death metal as well as Middle-Eastern folk music and Arabic traditions in a form of Oriental metal. Each album has some concept related to two extremes: a meeting of east and west, past and present, light and darkness, and God and Satan.
